Step 1: Enable Scripts to Write Files

  1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Scripting & Expressions.
  2. Select Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network.

Step 2: Apply Registry Fix for Windows Users

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Paste the following lines and press Enter:

      REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.12 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
      REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.11 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
      REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.10 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
      REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.9 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
          

Step 3: Apply Registry Fix for Mac Users

  1. Open Terminal (Press Command (⌘) + Space, type “Terminal” and press Enter).
  2. Paste the following lines and press Enter:

      defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.12 PlayerDebugMode 1
      defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.11 PlayerDebugMode 1
      defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.10 PlayerDebugMode 1
      defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.9 PlayerDebugMode 1
          

Step 4: Apple Silicon (M1/M2) Users

  1. If you're using an Apple Silicon Mac, try launching Adobe software using the Open (Intel) option from the Creative Cloud app.

Step 5: Restart Your Host Application

  1. Run the Adobe application as Administrator.
  2. Ensure your antivirus or firewall isn’t blocking plugins.
